New Antartica is a series of works in which historical photographs recording early twentieth-century British Antarctic expeditions are combined with contemporary photographs of the Andes
Antarctica is continuously covered with a thick layer of ice but through techniques, such as remote sensing, the underlying geology is being revealed and the present view is that West Antarctica closely resembles the Andes of South America. New Antarctica a series of paintings produced by combining early twentieth century antarctic expedition photographic images with contemporary images of the Andes. There are eight paintings and three studies in the series.
